What is the Charge Jacket?

The Womens Charge Jacket has been designed with the faster mountain user in mind. The Pertex Shield fabric offers excellent breathability and great protection for very little weight. Ideal for running, hiking, fast packing or as a stash-in-the-pack jacket!

The Charge is made using Pertex Shield 2.5L fabric. This fabric offers great protection and breathability whilst weighing very little. Pertex Shield has a hydrostatic head of 20,000mm with superb breathability and windproofing, thus, you get a jacket that will remain comfortable even in the worst conditions and under strenuous activity.

The Charge Jacket is stripped down on features to lower the weight even further! In the top you get a semi elasticated hood with a stiffened peak to help shape the hood and keep out the rain. The half micro elasticated cuffs and hem help to seal out the elements without the added weight and bulk of drawstrings, whilst the reflective branding helps add a bit of visibility if you end up on the roads. The Charge also comes with an included stuff sack for those days when you pop it in your pack just in case.

The Charge has been designed using Rabs Slim Fit this sits snugger to your body than Rabs Regular fit so you dont get any extra weight, bulk or excess material flapping in the wind. It can fit a couple of thinner layers on underneath it but isnt designed to go over bulky midlayers. It does also mean that it may feel a bit tighter around the waist if you have larger hips. We would recommend sizing up in this case, or opting for a jacket with Rabs Regular Fit.

Our Slim Fit garments are designed to be worn closer to the body or over layers such as base-layers and light mid-layers. Close fitting for maximum performance when moving dynamically.

EXPEDITION FIT GARMENTS

Expedition garments are designed to be worn in colder conditions and over more layers of clothing than our other fits and as such are oversized slightly to allow for this.
