The Rab Firewall Men’s waterproof shell jacket sits at the lighter end of an alpine shell jacket which makes it also perfect for all round outdoor use like multi-day and single day hiking. Basically it packs the features and protection you need to alpine climb in New Zealand or Europe, for example, but it’s still light enough that you’ll always chuck it in your bag when heading out on your local trails as well.

The Rab Firewall jacket is made from a combination of 2.5 and 3 layer Pertex waterproof fabric. This maximises durability where you need it and cuts the weight where you don’t. It has a slight stretch to it which makes it incredibly comfortable. Also the outer and liner fabrics are soft to touch and encourage incredible breathability so it doesn’t feel at all “plastic”.
