The HMPE Cord Sling 6mm is a reliable and durable addition to your climbing gear. With a tightly braided polyester sheath that resists abrasion and a strong HMPE core, this sewn round sling offers excellent permanent flexural strength. Its stiffness makes it easier in some situations to create threads and provides a solid clamping force when used as a prusik sling.
While you can use these Edelrid Cord slings just as slings, they create great neat prussic loops instead of tying your own. Use the 30cm as an abseiling backup prussic. The 30, 40 and 60cm make good standard prussic loops. The longer 90cm and 120cm can be used for a lightweight foot prussic if needed.
